Wildlife | Kruger National Park

The bushveld is one of my favourite places in the world !  I love the calmness, but also the mystery the bush holds..  Around the next corner you might see a leopard in a tree.. or a pride of lions.. or you might see a giant kingfisher with the catch-of-day..  I would like to share some pictures I took during our recent visit to the Kruger National Park.  We left the crazy busy city the Sunday morning and spent the night in Sabie.  Before sunrise the next morning we left Sabie for an incredible 5 days in the Kruger.  I was so previlaged to spend these couple of days with great friends ! :-)  Rudi & Colette (my fellow photographer buddies), Charlene and Cobie (see Charlene and Cobie with Cosmos here).  Thanks again you guys for an unforgetable week !  Also, thank you for all you patience while I was exploring different shoots of birds.. :-)  Hope you enjoy the end results as much as I did.

Wedding | Sakkie & Hermien

A few weeks ago friends of mine got married at Zebra Country Lodge.  What a fabulous wedding !  The wedding started at 8:00 in the morning. The atmosphere felt so crisp and fresh.  It was a little over cast so the light was so soft.  Hermien looked fantastic and I just absolutely loved her hat !  One of our very talented friends, Alma Fouche, designed and made Hermien's hat.  What made this wedding so special, is that it reminded me of a true farm wedding - 200+ guests, good food and almost all the guests knew each other.. We had so much fun and lost track of time, when I looked at my watch it was already 3:00 in the afternoon !  I really enjoyed this unique wedding and there was so much love present that day, one could almost touch it.. Sakkie and Hermien, I wish you a blessed life together.

While the guests were waiting for the newlywed couple, coffee and rusks were served !  In a very traditional way.. :-)  Very good idea.. especially early in the morning.. :-)

My life | Cosmos & Friends

I was on my way to the Kruger National Park for a week break away with some great friends, when we saw all these magnificent Cosmos next to the road.  Their beauty caught my attention immediately, so we made our first stop about 20 minutes away from Vereeniging on our way to Heidelberg. Rudi & Colette waited patiently for us while Charlene, Cobi and I enjoyed the Cosmos..  The light was amazingly soft, so the Cosmos looked like flowers in a dream.. Hope you enjoy these as much as we did that day.. Thanks Charlene and Cobi, you were so much fun!!  :-)
